Manitowoc opens Philippines facility

Manitowoc has opened a new facility in Molino, Cavite, south of Manila in the Philippines.

The 2,900 square metre facility stocks parts for Potain tower cranes and Grove All Terrain and Rough Terrain cranes. Around 40 customers attended an open house event to celebrate the opening of the new facility, with a range of Potain and Grove cranes on display, including the four tonne Potain Hup 32-27 self erecting tower crane, which customers were able to see demonstrations of. There were also handover ceremonies to celebrate deliveries of two Hup 32-27s to two Philippian customers, Port-Link Container Yard and P.A. Alvarez Properties & Development.

Port-Link Container Yard president John Go added: “The demonstration of the Hup 32-27 crane was really useful. The jib was unfolded in front of us and we could witness firsthand how fast and easy it was to operate the crane. We are excited with our purchase of the Hup 32-27 and are certain this Potain crane will help improve the efficiency and reliability of our work.”
