Sterling bodies for Advanced

UK rental company Advanced Access Platforms has taken delivery of two Mercedes-Benz Arocs 8×2 trucks fitted with Sterling beavertail bodies.

Delivered by Mercedes commercial vehicle dealer Rygor, the two trucks are compliant to Euro 6 emissions standards. The chassis and ramp features mesh on the ramp toes, steel grating on the ramp and mesh on the slope for increased grip and improved loading safety, a fall arrest system for working at height, LED lighting all around, and cameras and alarms alerting operators of their surroundings.

Advanced managing director John Corcoran said: “This was the ideal solution to complement our fleet whilst remaining committed to FORS Gold and the Ultra-Low Emission Scheme. The effort that Sterling and Rygor put into this deal was truly a service second to none and we are now in discussion for more vehicles.”

Rygor truck sales executive Gavin Duffy added: “Advanced Access’ commitment to safety and compliance was very much at the heart of this vehicle specification. We worked closely with John and his team, as well as Grant to ensure these Arocs trucks met Advanced Access’ specific requirements. Partnerships like this are really important to us here at Rygor and we look forward to continuing this working relationship in the future.”

Based in Sutton, Surrey, Advanced Access Platforms runs a fleet of around 1,000 aerial lifts, including scissor lifts, spider lifts, boom lifts, mast booms, push around lifts and trailer lifts.
