Genies for Besl

German rental company Besl has taken delivery of a number of new Genie aerial lifts.

The order includes GS-69 DC scissor lifts, as well as electric33ft Z-33/18 and hybrid 60ft Z-60 FE articulated boom lifts. The company also purchased a Genie five year full service, maintenance, inspection and repair contract for the new machines.

Besl commercial manager Natalie Bayerlein said: “With the GSS ‘full service’ option, the cost of caring for every machine covered by the contract is predictable for a period of five years. This is the first time that we have taken on a service contract, so we don’t have any experience yet, but based on our calculations, we will benefit from lower maintenance and repair costs.”

“All in all, we are counting on this GSS solution to offer us a competitive advantage, which is of course profitable for our company. If it works as well as we are expecting, the next time we buy Genie equipment, we’ll repeat the experience.”

Genie technical service manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland Hueseyin Sari added: “The Besl team will be able to rely on the expertise of the Genie service team, while they focus on other operational matters important to their business. This is an exciting opportunity to demonstrate the effectiveness and benefits of outsourcing service work to the Genie service team in the German market.”

Established in 1999, family run Besl is based in Ingoldstandt, Bavaria with another location in Garching near Munich. The company employs 70 and runs a fleet of 650 machines, and is a member of the System Lift association of independent rental access companies.
