BAFTA Albert approval for AFI

UK rental company AFI has become a the BAFTA Albert Consortium recommended supplier to the UK Production & Broadcasting Industry.

The majority of the AFI aerial lift fleet is now made up of electric and hybrid equipment, with almost 70 percent of the fleet falling into those categories according to the latest Cranes & Access Top 30 rental companies report. and ideally suited for work on closed sets, indoor productions and other emission sensitive environments.

Established in 2011, Albert is a collaborative BAFTA, indie and broadcaster backed project that brings the screen industries together to reduce their environmental impact. By using approved Albert certified suppliers, media production companies can manage the environmental impact of their production processes.

AFI group media account manager John Tominay said: “We are extremely pleased that Albert has recognised AFI as a supplier of powered access equipment with a strong focus on sustainable equipment and our environmental impact. The Albert certification proves our environmental credentials. The certification shows any media, film and production company that we are environmentally aware and take steps to minimise our impact on the environment.”
