Terex regional sales manager Stephan Wijkmans said: “We are delighted to have Crowland Cranes as our newly appointed distributor for Terex Rough Terrain cranes and I am convinced that the market will benefit from our new partnership. The combination of our Terex product range, along with the expertise and knowledge of Crowland Cranes and customer focused approach is first in class.”

Crowland Cranes, managing director Pete Issitt added: “Crowland Cranes, is delighted to sign this agreement, with Terex for all machine sales, parts & service support for the entire range of Terex Rough Terrain cranes, throughout the UK and Ireland. With the selection of cranes currently available from the two manufacturers we represent, Crowland Cranes can now offer a complete range of capacities to our customers in the UK, the new deal will also allow us to enter the Rough Terrain market in Ireland with Terex.”

“We will be increasing our stock of new cranes over the next few months, with both brands being available from our UK inventory. The Rough Terrain market in the UK has suffered a little over the years, we are now seeing greater appreciation for this versatile product in the UK and look forward to improving customer awareness over the next 12 months”

Vertikal Comment

A good move for both Terex and Crowland in that this deal provides Terex with a good UK dealer in terms of sales and support, while for Crowland the Terex RTs are designed to meet transport and other requirements of the European market, adding to the few models in the Grove RT range that are suitable for the European market, giving Crowland a full European range, as well as a Rough Terrain product line that it can sell in Ireland - as Grove is represented in the emerald isle by Irlequip.
