New UK truck mounted service provider
A new UK truck mounted service business – Skylift Engineering – is being set up in the Northampton area in the English East Midlands.
The business is supported by Adam Tucker, who recently established truck mounted rental business
Skylift Platforms in Milton Keynes. He is joined by Dan Glaze, who recently left Palfinger Platforms and Isoli distributor SkyKing. Glaze will be lead engineer in the new operation.

The new business is scheduled to officially open its doors for business in January. The company says that it will initially concentrate on providing mobile and workshop based service, maintenance and repairs for truck mounted lifts manufactured by Palfinger, followed by Ruthmann and Bronto.

Speaking of the new venture, Tucker said: “I have many existing relationships with truck mounted platform rental companies in the UK by providing a very trusted rehire service. Considering the lack of backup support in the UK for truck mount fleets, we feel the market would benefit from a proactive forward thinking engineering business that understands downtime should be kept to an absolute minimum. Premium customer service is at the core of our DNA and we look forward to raising the specialist engineering skill-set throughout our industry.”
