Happy New Year

The new year has arrived, and we would like to thank each and every one of you for your support in 2019 and wish you a very happy, safe and prosperous year in 2020.

The past 12 months have certainly had their rocky moments but business has largely held up pretty well - although recent months have been shaky as the world has become more uncertain, sadly just as we had predicted this time last year.

Having said this 2020 looks as though it might well be better than some of us had expected a month or two ago, and you can be sure that no matter what happens, there will be plenty of opportunities for those who are innovative, dedicated, passionate, prepared to work hard and are well informed.

Climate change is almost certain to become an increasingly important issue this year, as the urgency to make changes to the way we work and how fast the clock is ticking starts to dawn on a greater number of us. While creating some tough challenges, it will of course throw up new opportunities for those who are ready, willing and able to grasp them.

One thing will not change – the need for good quality information. This is particularly true in an age where so much published information is at best poorly informed, and all too often inaccurate or blatantly untrue. We see this as an opportunity and have some exciting plans to build on the platform of our new website, which is still very much a work in progress. We are also planning a number of new products and ideas and looking forward to more input from our readers.

Finally, and most importantly, a very big thank you to all of you who have supported us by advertising with us, both in print and online, as well as those of you who have paid for a subscription or exhibited at Vertikal Days. Without your help we simply could not maintain the quality or regularity of what we do. You help is essential and very very much appreciated.
