New MD for Riwal Germany

Riwal Deutschland - the German division of Dutch/international access and telehandler rental group Riwal - will have a new managing director from March 1st in the form of Klaus Maskort.

The move follows the departure last month of Dietmar Müller, after two years in the job, who has joined modular building/cabin rental company Algeco as its managing director.

Maskort joins Riwal from Japanese owned Yusen Logistics, where he has been managing director of its German subsidiary since the start of 2018. Prior to this he was a director at the group’s Turkish operation and finance directors of Yusen Logistics Europe. In total he has been with the company almost five years.

Klaus Maskort

Maskort started his access rental career in 2001 when he joined Lavendon’s German business, Zooom Deutschland, as credit control manager. He later became commercial manager and then head of its Frankfurt call centre, before transferring to Lavendon headquarters in Lutterworth UK, in 2008. In 2001, he re-joined the Germany business – by then Gardemann – as operations manager/director. He took over a managing director finance in 2013 and then left to join Yusen in 2015. He began his working life in the credit control department of DHL Netherlands.
