New chairman for Oshkosh

JLG parent Oshkosh has appointed Stephen Newlin as chairman, having been a non-executive director of the company since 2013. He succeeds Craig Omtvedt - who has served as chairman since 2017 and a director since 2008 - and will also remain on the Oshkosh board.

Newlin is also the non-executive chairman of chemicals distributor Univar Solutions, having retired as chief executive in December. He will step down from his role in May after more than five years with the company. Prior to that he was chief executive of specialised polymer manufacturer PolyOne corporation from 2006 to 2014. He joined the company in 2003 from the Industrial division of Ecolab where he was president, following more than 24 years with Nalco Chemical in a range of positions culminating as chief executive.
