Crane fatality – South Africa
A man died yesterday when a mobile crane overturned while working on a reactor at the Central Basin acid mine drainage treatment plant in Germiston, Johannesburg, South Africa.
The man is understood to have been employed by state owned Trans Caledon Tunnel Authority, which is responsible for the site.
An investigation involving the Department of Labour and police has been launched.
