New MD for Palfinger Platforms
Palfinger Platforms managing director Christian Eiring has left the company, after five years in the job, with Michael Gruböck appointed his successor effective immediately.
Gruböck re-joins the company from wood burning stove company Haas + Sohn where he has been chief executive since 2017.
Prior to that he spent around 12 years with Palfinger, including four years from 2012 as managing director of Palfinger Sany mobile cranes, based in Austria. This was followed by six years as head of the company’s truck mounted forklift division, leaving in 2017 to join Haas + Sohn.

Michael Gruböck
He began his career in 1996 as a production manager with Böhler Uddeholm, moving to Lafarge Perlmooser in 2001 as senior lead buyer for Central and Eastern Europe. He took up his first job at Palfinger in 2005 as head of global strategic purchasing. Four years later, he was appointed to a corporate development role responsible for the integration of the US based Omaha Standard which manufactures service cranes and bodies which had been acquired by the company in late 2008.
