Pettibone to launch new Traverse
US telehandler –
and more recently scissor lift manufacturer – Pettibone will launch a 5.4 tonne/14.6 metre Traverse T1246X telehandler, as part of its growing X-Series, at Conexpo next month.
Weighing 13.5 tonne – or 14.2 tonne when purchased with optional outriggers – the T1246X can lift five tonne to its maximum lift height and take 340kg to its maximum forward reach of 10.9 metres. It joins two other models - the four tonne/13.5 metre T944X and the 5.4 tonne/17.8 metre T1258X.
Similar to the other models in the Traverse range, the T1246X features a ‘traversing boom carriage’ which can move the entire boom forward and backwards along the telehandler chassis to provide up to 1.77 metres additional reach. This is the only telehandler manufacturer to still offer this feature with the company claiming that it improves safety and efficiencies by reducing the need to reposition the telehandler or to use multiple boom functions to ensure a load remains the same height.
