30m Easy Lift Hybrid for Japan

Japanese rental company Fujikenki Lease has taken delivery of a 30 metre hybrid Easy Lift RA31 spider lift.

Launched at bauma, the RA31 features a three section telescopic riser/lower boom, a three section top boom and a 1.8 metre jib. Weighing 4.3 tonnes, it offers a maximum outreach of 14.5 metres with an up and over height of 15 metres. Maximum platform capacity is 230kg.

The RA31 is powered by a hybrid diesel/battery system with a 200Ah 48 volt lithium battery pack and AC drive motor in addition to a diesel engine. When the diesel is running the hydraulic generator automatically recharges the battery pack, while the high speed on board charger quickly replenishes the battery pack.

The company has said its reduced weight and dimensions, combined with 14.5 metres of outreach with 120kg capacity were key factors to the purchase. It will predominately be used for window cleaning and indoor maintenance of shopping centres and airports.
