AC 45 for Auto-Klug

German crane rental company Auto-Klug has taken delivery of a 45 tonne Demag AC 45 city crane.

The AC 45 has a 31.2 metre main boom while a 7.1 to 13 metre off-settable extension takes the maximum tip height to over 45 metres. The crane’s IC-1 Plus control system is able to monitor the outrigger set up and slew position to calculate a specific load chart for that precise position. It has also been ordered with a 1.3 metre runner for loads of up to 25 tonnes.

The company chose the crane for it compact dimensions, making it ideal for working on a range of its projects, from building houses to moving industrial equipment and installing gantry cranes.

Auto-Klug’s Matthias Kallinich said: "We already had the best experience with our five Demag AC 40 City cranes, so it was a foregone conclusion that we would purchase the successor model. For us, however, it is not only the high lifting capacity that is important here but the aspect of safety, too.”
