German crane rental company Auto-Klug has taken delivery of a 45 tonne Demag AC 45 city crane.
The AC 45 has a 31.2 metre main boom while a 7.1 to 13 metre off-settable extension takes the maximum tip height to over 45 metres. The crane’s IC-1 Plus control system is able to monitor the outrigger set up and slew position to calculate a specific load chart for that precise position. It has also been ordered with a 1.3 metre runner for loads of up to 25 tonnes.
The company chose the crane for it compact dimensions, making it ideal for working on a range of its projects, from building houses to moving industrial equipment and installing gantry cranes.
Auto-Klug’s Matthias Kallinich said: "We already had the best experience with our five Demag AC 40 City cranes, so it was a foregone conclusion that we would purchase the successor model. For us, however, it is not only the high lifting capacity that is important here but the aspect of safety, too.”
Based in Hof, Bavaria, Auto-Klug offers crane rental, heavy lifting and transportation services from eight locations in Bavaria, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia. It also runs a rental fleet that includes aerial work platforms and forklifts, as well as container and towing/recovery divisions.
