New Giant compact

Telehandler and wheel loader manufacturer Tobroco Giant has launched the 2.5 tonne/4.8 metre GT5048 ultra compact telehandler.

Weighing 2.95 tonnes, the GT5048 can lift 1.67 tonnes to it maximum lift height and take 586kg to its maximum forward reach of 2.7 metres. A heavier 2.87 tonne capacity model with the same 4.8 metre lift height, is also available, the only difference being additional counterweight.

The new telehandlers have an overall width of 1.6 metres, an overall height of 1.97 metres and an overall length of 3.84 metres when fitted with a bucket attachment, while power comes from a Kubota diesel equipped with catalytic converter and particulate filer to meet stage V emissions standards. Features include four wheel steer - including crab - hydrostatic drive and Bosch Rexroth componentry.
