Platform Basket 13.80 Pro

Italian spider lift manufacturer Platform Basket is to add the 13 metre 13.80 Pro to its current line up.

The new 13.80 Pro is structurally the same as the regular 13.80 with a three section telescopic boom and articulated jib and will be available with the same power choices of petrol/gas, diesel and electric power, howver the Pro features an upgraded control system and onboard diagnostics. As with the standard model working height is 13.4 metres, maximum outreach 7.8 metres and maximum capacity 200kg. Overall stowed width is 780mm, while overall length with basket removed is just under 3.7 metres. Working footprint is 2.8 metres square.

The standard Platform Basket 13.80

The new 13.80 Pro, uses a Scanreco radio remote controller for all functions, including driving and outrigger set up. The new machines also includes a new lower control panel with clearer, wider display and a more comprehensive diagnostics suite.

The outrigger set up is fully automatic from the remote controller - which includes a diagnostics and machine status screen, or if you prefer the manual chassis mounted controls can also be used.

Once the machine has been set up and levelled, the remote control unit sits in a cradle in the basket and in the case of any controller battery issues it can be plugged into a spare connector below the cradle, to create a tethered controller. The Pro upgrade is only available when installed on a new machine – it cannot be retrofitted – with first shipments due to begin in July.
