25t Potains for Singapore

Singaporean sales and rental company Manta Equipment has taken delivery of two 25 tonne Potain MCT 565 M25 topless cranes.

One of the largest Potain topless cranes available in Asia, the MCT 565 M25 offers jib length configurations from 30 to 80 metres - in five metre increments - and can lift four tonne at 80 metres. Maximum free-standing height is 70.9 metres, while it can reach 245.9 metres with a number of anchor points.

Building contractor Hock Guan Cheong Builder purchased the first crane for residential construction projects, while the second was sent straight out on rental at a housing project in Singapore.

Benjamin Goh, marketing manager at Manta Equipment, said: “We chose the MCT 565 because the Potain topless crane has better lifting capacity compared to the similar class of cranes from other manufacturers.”

Darren Tan, Potain regional sales manager for the greater Asia Pacific, added: “Since the MCT 565 launched at bauma China 2018, popularity is continuing to grow. With many contractors preferring topless cranes and job sites using heavier construction materials, we expect to see more demand for the MCT 565, which is now the largest topless crane from Potain’s Asia range.”

Manta Equipment primarily serves the construction and infrastructure sectors and has been operating in Hong Kong since 1975 and Singapore since 1997. In Singapore the company operates a fleet of Potain topless, saddle, luffing and city cranes.
