Ideal Crane Rental of Madison, Wisconsin, has become the latest Niftylift dealer in North America.
Director of Business Kristin Chose said: “We had been thinking about Niftylift for some time and decided to take a closer look at the ARA show this year and spoke with their sales vice president Jon Hedlund. All of the major manufacturers of aerial lifts exhibited at the show, so it was helpful to compare all of the brands in one place at the same time. After reviewing the Nifty line with Jon, we decided to become a distributor and to add Niftylift aerials to our rental fleet, too.”
The company has started out with the 50ft SD50 (SD170) Self Drive semi self-propelled articulated boom lift with bio-energy power pack, four wheel drive, 227kg platform capacity and 8.6 metres of outreach. In the USA the unit can also be towed behind a standard pickup truck on a tandem axle trailer as it weighs just 2,750kg.
“The SD50s we purchased are bi-energy, so they can run on their internal combustion engine or their batteries,” added Chose. “That optimises utilisation because they can work both outdoors and indoors. The bi-energy also improves sustainability. We also found the full hydraulic controls easy to use and maintain. W expect it will appeal to customers covering several applications, from tree care, painting, and facility maintenance, to outdoor light maintenance, gutter installation, building restoration, and more.”
Ideal Crane Rental runs a rental fleet that includes truck, All Terrain, Rough Terrain and crawler cranes, as well as self-erecting tower cranes, boom lifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers and fork trucks. In addition to its Madison headquarters, the company operates from locations in Milwaukee, Oshkosh, La Crosse, Green Bay, and Tomahawk, Wisconsin.
