JLG expands Russian distribution

JLG has appointed SkyTech as its distributor for the Volga Federal District of Russia in the South East of the country. Covering over 400,000 square miles, it is twice the size of France and three times that of Germany, with a population of around 30 million.

Based in Kazan City, SkyTech opened for business in 2010 as part of Spets Tech Trading, and was set up as a separate legal entity in 2013 to supply lifting equipment, along with earth moving, road and warehouse equipment. It is now responsible for all sales and after sales support in the region including replacement parts. Other brands represented include Atlas loaders, and Kubota excavators. In 2014 the company set up a rental operation as a sub dealer for Cramo/Ramirent owned Fortrent.
The distribution contracts were signed at the offices of JLG Russia in Moscow.
