PSE orders 1,300 UpRights

Platform Sales Europe, the MEC master dealer for Europe has reached an agreement with UpRight to sell its products in the Benelux region and a number of other markets, including Eastern Europe, Russia and parts of the Middle East.

It has also agreed to establish a company in France to sell UpRight powered access products and placed a 1,200 unit stock order for delivery throughout 2007. This in addition to a previous order for 100 AB38 boom lifts.

PSE will continue to sell the MEC product range alongside that of UpRight.

The intention is to sell UpRight on a non exclusive basis in markets where UpRight is either not currently present or where it has a distributor that is not able to keep pace with a rapidly emerging market. In such situations PSE will support the existing UpRight partner with payment terms and off the shelf product availability.

Availability for other UpRight distributors will not be affected by the order as it has been factored into UpRight’s production ramp up which has taken production to 100 units a week with further increases planned during the year.

A third production line is currently being installed in UpRights new Vigo facility in England and the company says it is close to closing on a deal to build a new Greenfield production facility in California. In the meantime it expects to achieve production of 60 units a week in its Fresno facility by late spring.
