Terex has appointed UK rental company Select Plant Hire as its distributor for tower cranes in the Republic of Ireland after signing a long term mutual renewal agreement.
Select has been the UK dealer for Terex/Comedil tower cranes for more than 25 years but will now also be responsible for the sale and after sales support for them in the Republic of Ireland.
Alex Warrington of Select said: “The longstanding relationship between Select Plant Hire and Terex has been at the forefront of tower crane innovation. Being able to utilise the knowledge and expertise that we have as an owner and user of tower cranes to support the continuous product development driven by the Terex engineering team has helped our customers to deliver some of the most challenging engineering projects in the world.”
Lee Maynard, global sales director for Terex tower and Rough Terrain cranes, added: “It’s a very exciting time to be renewing and further strengthening our partnership with Select. The UK and Republic of Ireland are two strategically important markets for Terex and both will present significant opportunities in the next few years. There are some sizable projects due to come to fruition in the coming months and years and we believe our partnership with Select places us in an excellent position to win our share of these.”
Part of the Laing O'Rourke construction group, Select runs a large fleet that includes tower cranes, crawler cranes, aerial lifts and hoists.
