Valla for BAE

BAE Systems at Warton has source its staging and lifting requirements from Platform Sales and Hire of Leighton Buzzard.
The original enquiry started as access staging but it was then realised that a small lifting device was also needed.

After various demonstrations the Valla 30E battery powered crane was chosen. The unit has proved highly manoeuvrable when working in the confined spaces around fighter aircraft in the hanger environment.

The Valla 30E helping BAE Systems in a tight spot

Main use is removing the heavy ejector seats and other aircraft components in a controlled and safe manner.

Chris Caney managing director of Platform Sales said that BAE Warton was particularly pleased that they could deal with one company that could supply both lifting and access equipment.

The photo shows the crane lifting an ejector seat out, whilst access is gained to the Tornado via the mobile access staging.
