Scissor lift overturn
A Rough Terrain scissor lift overturned on Saturday August 15th at a nursery in Gelsdorf- south of Bonn, Germany, seriously injuring the two men in the platform.
The men were pruning trees from the platform - a specialist MDE nursery scissor lift - at a height of around four metres when the wheels on one side of the machine appear to have sunk into the ground and/or entered a pothole, causing the lift to tilt sufficiently to cause it to overturn.
The two, aged 53 and 45 - employees of the nursery - were seriously injured, and were airlifted to hospital, but were later said to be in a stable condition.
