Equipment Depot acquires NEIT
US based sales and rental company Equipment Depot is taking over New England Industrial Truck.
Established by Robert Krueger in 1952, Industrial Truck is primarily a fork lift and material handling distributor, but also offers Genie boom and scissor lifts. It is owned by UniCarriers Forklift, which in turn is part of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. As is Equipment Depot - so less of an acquisition and more of an internal merger.
Over the coming months the three NEIT locations - Wilmington, Massachusetts, Wallingford, Connecticut and a satellite location in Maine - will merge into the Equipment Depot network, which currently includes 40 locations across 16 states offering fork trucks, telehandlers and aerial work platforms for sale or rent. The New England Industrial Truck branding will be dropped in favour of Equipment Depot by the end of the month.

Equipment Depot chief executive, David Turner, said: “Bringing together the talent and experience within our organisations and continuing to provide industry leading products and services means even greater resources toward helping our customers achieve their business goals.”
Founded in 1939, Equipment Depot claims to be one of the largest material handling and equipment rental companies in the USA.
