CMC moves into Norway
Italian spider lift manufacturer CMC has appointed Scanlift Maskin as its distributor for Norway.
The move follows the earlier appointment of Gothenburg based Scandlift which has covered the Swedish market for CMC for some time.
Scanlift Maskin is based in Sandnes, just south of Stavanger, and operates from a further five locations in Stavanger, Trondheim, Hamar, Haugesund and Oslo. It also runs a rental business - Scanlift Rental - alongside the sales and service operation. The company also represents Bobcat telehandlers, GMG scissor lifts and Doosan fork trucks, as such it is used to handling equipment imports, spare parts storage and dispatch and after sales service. It has also placed its first order which includes a 15 metres S15F and 19 metre S19E spider lifts.

CMC export sales manager Alessandro Mastrogiacomo said: "There is satisfaction and pride every time we have the good fortune to add a new partner for our distribution network. We have made some significant investments over the past year and a half, first in people and then in R&D, production and marketing, all of which help establish our brand. My team and I are working hard to increase our market share and next month we hope to announce other new dealers, but on this point, I prefer to be superstitious.”
