New CFO for Manitex
US based crane and access group Manitex International has appointed Joseph Doolan as chief financial officer.
He replaces Laura Yu who announced her departure last month for personal reasons, although she has agreed to remain for a while in a consulting role to oversee the transition. Doolan joins from car parts supplier Fram where he has been vice president finance for the past four and a half years. He joined the Fram group in 2012 as vice president finance for UCI Fram.

Doolan began his career in 1986 as a manager with audit and financial services group KPMG, leaving after nine years to join Heller Financial as director of financial planning and reporting. Heller was acquired by GE in 2001, and Doolan was appointed controller of GE Healthcare Finance. In 2004 he moved to CNH Capital – the finance arm of Case New Holland – as controller, leaving in 2006 to join APAC, a publicly traded outsourcing business, where he was corporate controller and chief accounting officer, until leaving for UCI-Fram six years later.
Manitex chief executive Steve Filipov said: "Joe is an exceptional professional with the technical accounting experience and credentials, that will make him extremely valuable to the team. In addition to the CPA and international accounting resources he brings, he has a proven track record as a leader in financial reporting, planning and analysis, both internally and externally, making a positive impact on balance sheet management and expense controls wherever he has been. We are also grateful to Laura Yu for her commitment and outstanding work at Manitex and we wish her well in her future endeavours."
