Another new depot for Gerken

German rental company Gerken has opened a new location in Hagen, just south of Dortmund and ‘the gateway to the Sauerland’.

The new facility takes the company’s depot network in Germany to 35 and joins Duisburg, Essen, Bochum, Dortmund and Hamm in serving the industrial Ruhr region. It will stock a full range of self-propelled aerial lifts along with truck mounted platforms on 3.5 and 7.5 tonne chassis with working heights up to 33 metres.

The new location in Hagen

Managing director Christian Gerken said: "We hope to shorten the distances to our existing and new customers and to be able to offer an even better service on site. In addition, we want to offer additional rental articles such as woodchippers, light poles and stump grinders in the new branch in Hagen and thus improve the local product range we can offer."

The new location is just off the A1 autobahn highway and easily accessible to the neighbouring towns of Iserlohn, Wuppertal, Gevelsberg, Ennepetal and Schwelm. It is the fourth location that the company has opened in the past 12 months, joining a second location in Berlin last November and a new depot in Hofheim-Wallau in June, while in August it started building a new branch in Marktheidenfeld near Würzburg.
