New Platform Basket arrives down under

Platform Basket has launched its latest new model - the 19 metre 20.95 - in Australia.

The new machine is based on some of the well proven running gear from the existing 18.90 model, which the company says is the best selling spider lift in Australia. However it features a new lift mechanism with dual two section telescopic booms topped by an articulated jib. It offers a working height of 19.4 metres, a 250kg maximum platform capacity with an unrestricted outreach of 9.5 metres at an up & over height of seven metres.

All hoses are routed inside the booms, removing the possibility of them being damaged by branches or other obstacles, while radio controls include fully proportional functions and can also be used to set the outriggers, with automatic levelling on slopes of up to 20 degrees.

Overall stowed width is 790mm, with an overall height of 1.99 metres and an overall length of 4.87 metres. The tracks extend out and down to provide greater stability and ground clearance when on site or uneven ground. With an overall weight of 2,800kg it can be towed on a standard two axle trailer. Power comes from a choice of a Honda petrol or a Kubota diesel engine, or a hybrid model, with a choice of either battery power or 230/240 volt mains for working indoors.

The platform can be removed with a single pin and offers 140 degrees of platform rotation. Non-marking tracks are available as an option along with air & water lines to the basket.

The machine has arrived with Monitor Platforms, Platform Basket’s Australian distributor, which has high hopes for the machine in the local market.
