French telehandler and aerial lift manufacturer Manitou has appointed Alexandra Matzneff as a non-executive director, replacing Carole Lajous who resigned as a director in September.
Matzneff has been co-opted for the remaining period of Lajous’ term of office which expires at the next Annual General Meeting in the spring.
Alexandra Matzneff, 38, began her career in 2005 as an intern with Deutsche Bank’s construction and infrastructure division in Paris. In 2006 she joined Crédit Agricole's investment bank CA-CIB as a mergers and acquisitions associate. In 2011, she joined Rothschild & Co. as vice president in the global financial advisory team, becoming a director of mergers & acquisitions at the end of 2016.
In 2018 she left with three Rothschild colleagues to set up the Leuwen partnership which specialised in assisting start up and innovative small to medium sized companies in their divestment, fundraising and financing operations.
Since 2012 she has also lectured at Sciences Po Paris on financial modelling and fundraising.
