Innovator picks Tadano

German breakdown and recovery company Krause has taken delivery of its first new crane - a 100 tonne Tadano ATF 100G-4 All Terrain crane - as it looks to enter the crane rental market.

The four axle ATF 100G-4 has a 51 metre main boom topped by an 18 metre bi-fold swingaway extension. The company has also developed its Krause System, a special sling system to lift large commercial vehicles that have overturned. The crane has already completed its first job, recovering a 14 tonne excavator from a construction pit at a radius of 12 metre.

Hans-Georg Krause, company owner and inventor of Krause System, said: “I have always found Tadano cranes to be outstanding feats of engineering. Not only is the technology unbelievably robust, but these cranes couldn’t be easier to operate either. I can’t help but feel inspired by this combination – I just love it. Going forward, we want to start offering more crane rental services as well. The ATF 100 will easily allow us to take on projects and will open up new areas of business for us.”
