Saudi Arabian Hertz Dayim Equipment Rental has announced that operations director John Cable is leaving the business and will be replaced by regional manager Imtiyaz Abedi.
Cable moved to the middle east region 11 years ago and joined Hertz Dayim Equipment Rental in 2016. He is to return to the UK to be with his family.
As Hertz Dayim Equipment Rental's regional manager since 2019, Abedi was responsible for the Jeddah and Jizan branches as well as two satellite locations in the northwest of Saudi Arabia. He began his career in the industry in 2007 when he joined Zahid Tractor as a service coordinator before being promoted to rental fleet controller two years later. In 2013 he joined Al Arabi Heavy Equipment Lease Company (AHEL) as rental operations manager, before moving to Rapid Access, the Middle East division of Lavendon - now Loxam - where he was regional general manager for the western region until his departure in 2019.
The company said: “We wish John all the best in his future endeavours, and congratulations to Imtiyaz on the new role.”
Dayim Holdings was established as a joint venture with what was then Hertz Equipment Rental, with locations in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and United Arab Emirates. They operate a fleet of articulated and telescopic boom lifts, spider lifts, electric and rough terrain scissor lifts as well as general equipment.
