It’s Bridge bashing week

This week saw two bridge bashing incidents in a day, both causing traffic chaos, the worst occurred in Gibraltar where the loader crane caused the rocks worst traffic in its history

The 43-year old Spaniard (A key part of all local reports) had not properly stowed his articulated loader crane, causing it to collide with a footbridge in Winston Churchill Avenue. He was immediately arrested fro careless driving and later released on bail.

The accident brought Gibraltar to a virtual standstill causing serious problems at the frontier, with incoming traffic from Spain stuck for over two hours.

A few hours earlier a “truck with crane” struck a bridge in Maryhill Road, Glasgow causing rush hour problems in the area. We have been unable to confirm if the vehicle was a loader crane or a crane or aerial lift on the back of a truck.
