Hewden appoints new access head

Plant hirer Hewden has appointed Nick Childs as its new head of access. Effective from today, Nick takes over from Andrew Spencer who left the company late last year for a plant but non access related position.

Nick has been with Hewden since 1998 gaining a broad range of experience in several departments. His current position is national sales manager, operated plant.

Although Nick says there will be no radical changes, he is not satisfied with the fact that Hewden has slipped to fourth in the market place. A three year plan will aim to build the access business, give the division a strong identity and raise its profile.
