Haulotte celebrates 10 years of Chinese production

Haulotte has celebrated 10 years since it opened its production plant in Changzhou Jiangsu Province, China.

Originally intended to supply electric scissor lifts to the local market, the plant now manufactures and exports electric scissor lifts, vertical mast lifts and articulating booms throughout the Asia Pacific region as well as Europe and the United States.

A ceremony marking the milestone was attended by more than 200 people, including Changzhou Xinbei district officials, employees, suppliers and customers. A dinner followed the opening during which chief executive Alexandre Saubot thanked everyone for their support and collaboration and a graffiti wall was created by the participants each of whom posted a message.

Chief operating officer Patrice Métairie said: “Haulotte has always believed in the Chinese market. We will continue to invest and face the challenges in China. Haulotte’s goal is to increase and diversify its production in China in order to match the expansion of the Asian market."
