Haulottes for Hinkley

UK civil engineering company Bylor - a Laing O'Rourke and Bouygues Travaux Publics joint venture - has started taking delivery of 83 Haulotte aerial work platforms for the Hinkley Point C nuclear power station project.

The order comprises 23 20ft Compact 8 and nine Optimum 8 scissor lifts, 22 Star 6 mast type lifts, 16 Star 10 mast booms six 33ft HA12 CJ and seven 44ft HA16 RTJ PRO articulated boom lifts. The booms have all been equipped with the Haulotte Activ’Shield Bar secondary guarding system and Activ’Screen onboard diagnostics, as well as its Activ’Lighting and Stop Emission systems.

Joining 22 units ordered last July, the new machines will be used to assist with the construction of two nuclear reactor housing units at Hinkley Point C.

The units for this order have come from Haulotte manufacturing facilities in Reims, France and Arges, Romania.
