Schmidbauer swallows Mottinger
German crane rental company Schmidbauer has acquired Mottinger Kran und Transport of Regensburg, Bavaria. The deal was apparently agreed at the start of the year, but Munich based Schmidbauer only announced the deal last week. No details of the transaction were provided.
Schmidbauer will take over and rebrand the Mottinger offices in Lappersdorf, on the north side of Regensburg, and its yard in Barbing, on the east side of town, along with the cranes and other assets, while assuming responsibility for all Mottinger employees and customer base. The acquisition is set to strengthen its coverage of the greater Regensburg region.
