UK rental company Tyne & Wear Access has taken delivery of 10 Snorkel boom and scissor lifts.

The order included eight scissor lifts made up of two 10ft S3010P push-arounds, two 19ft S3219E and two 26ft S3226E slab electric scissor lifts, as well as a 27ft S2755BE bi-energy Rough Terrain scissor lift and a 12ft TM12 self-propelled telescopic mast lift. The order also included a 46ft A46JRT articulated Rough Terrain boom lift and a 38ft A38E all electric articulated boom lift.

Managing director, John Lewins, said: “As a local business, there is nothing better than being able to buy and hire out, or sell, equipment that was assembled in the north east of England, right here in Tyne & Wear. To know that we can support our local economy through our business activities is something that I’m very proud of, and it’s fantastic to see this quality of product being manufactured on our doorstep.”

Andrew Fishburn, managing director of Snorkel UK, added: “It is such a pleasure to partner with a local company like Tyne & Wear Access, who appreciate the many benefits of buying local and supporting the UK manufacturing sector.”

Based in Hebburn - less than 10 miles from Snorkel’s UK manufacturing facility - Tyne and Wear Access runs a fleet of aerial lifts, while its training division offers IPAF, PASMA and CPC courses, alongside a transport business. Founded in 2010, the company purchased its first Snorkel lifts in 2017.
