NMT invests

NMT the family owned crane hirer based in the village of Marston Moreteyne near Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire has ordered one of the new seven axle Spierings mobile tower cranes for delivery later this year along with one four and one five axle units.

The investment worth well over £3 million includes two 35 tonne Terex-Demag AC 35L’s, one 50 tonne AC 50 –1 and one 100 tonne AC 100 – 4. At the same time the company says that it is seriously considering the purchase of a 1,000 tonne telescopic crane in order to respond to customer demands.

Tim Ambridge, one of the owners and directors of the company has said

“Demand for the services we offer has been growing significantly, resulting in a dramatic increase in our workload over the past eighteen months. This has obliged us to increase the fleet size.
This investment also helps us provide a complete service to all of our clients. Our crane range now runs from a 10 tonne city crane right through to a 350 tonner, along with the full complement of Spierings mobile towers.

If the 1,000 tonne unit comes to fruition it will also allow us to compete in markets from which we have been excluded in the past”
