New Training Manager at AFI

Parker joins AFI after nine years as training manager with Peter Hird, the Hull based crane and access company. He is a senior instructor and member of the IPAF training committee he currently chairs the IPAF Instructor Sub Committee, which is drafting the standards for the forthcoming IPAF Instructors Course.

Parker said: “AFI is providing a high quality training resource and I will now be looking at how we can broaden the scope of this training so that we can offer our customers an even wider range of courses.”

“This will include looking at offering courses accredited by more organisations. The IPAF and PASMA courses will remain the mainstay of our operations but we will also be looking at other accredited courses, including City and Guilds and ones relating to ladder use. Our aim is to offer our customers a ‘one-stop shop’ for all their training and safety requirements,” says Parker.
