New IPAF training centre accredited
Last year Paul Stray set up a new training business, having been made redundant as training manager at UK sales and distribution company Workplatform due to Covid-19.
On Monday his budding training operation - PS Training - received its official IPAF accreditation following an earlier audit. Stray is a senior IPAF instructor having first qualified as an instructor in 2006 while working with AFI. His experience in the access business dates back to 2002 however when he joined The Platform Company as a driver. He moved to Workplatform in 2014 having spent part of the recession as a freelance trainer.
So far, customers for his new business have included his ex-employer Workplatform and Harris Safety Training Services, along with onsite training for a number of contractors working on projects in London.

Speaking of his newly accredited status he said: “As a senior IPAF instructor, I am able to carry out the full suite of IPAF courses, on a nationwide basis. Our training centre is very much a community based location at North Baddesley village hall in North Baddesley, just north of Southampton.”
His motto is: “Training doesn't have to be dull... Unless you want it to be... But you may have to pay extra...”
