Man thrown from lift

A man hanging a poster sign in London, Ontario, was thrown from the basket of a truck mounted lift yesterday, falling five metres to the ground after his lift was struck by passing truck.

The man was working in the north bound lane of an underpass while the truck was heading south and managed to clip the lift. The impact caused the lift to tip catapulting the man to the ground it seems that he was not wearing a harness, but this has not been confirmed.

The man was taken to hospital with injuries to his left arm and leg as well as a black eye however none of the injuries are considered to be life-threatening.

Ontario’s Labour Ministry is investigating the incident but police have already said that no charges will be laid against the driver of the truck.
