Sinoboom’s European subsidiary has added four new members of staff to its sales and product support team.
Geert Hansen joins as technical support specialist, based at the Europe headquarters near Rotterdam, Netherlands, and will focus on training, problem solving and customer support. He joins the company after 11 years with Genie, having joined the company as a technical trainer in 2010, and was most recently technical trainer and European region training manager.
Eric Vanderstraeten has been appointed as regional manager for Belgium and Luxembourg. Based in Belgium he will be responsible for driving sales and developing customer relationships in the country. He joins the operation from Sinoboom's distribution partner VDS, where he has worked since 1992 when he set up the company’s aerial lift division.
Stefan Mitrea has been appointed as regional service manager for Spain and Portugal. He is another Genie Europe veteran, having spent most of his career with the company, most recently as technical services manager for Spain and Turkey. He is based in Barcelona.
David Rosbergen has joined the company to look after the PDI workshop and transport support, based at Sinoboom’s European headquarters. He will work alongside other team members to ensure the safe, effective and efficient delivery of Sinoboom aerial lifts across Europe. He joins the company from Genie dealer HDW where he has worked in the logistics area for the past four years. He began his career with a commercial window cleaning company, before moving to Holland Pumps where he worked in the warehouse.
European chief executive Tim Whiteman said: “This is a substantial investment in experienced staff and is an important sign of Sinoboom’s long term commitment to supporting our customers across Europe – our goal is to provide high quality aerial work platforms that are made in China and supported by experienced, professional staff in Europe.”
