Lineman electrocuted
A lineman working from a truck mounted lift/bucket truck died while repairing power lines, following a major storm near Waldo, south west of Jacksonville, Florida, last Tuesday.
The man, named as William Ziegenfelder, 56, and employed by Clay Electric Cooperative, was found in an “unresponsive state”. An Alachua Fire Rescue spokesman reported that he had died of apparent electrocution while repairing lines in a rural area about five miles northwest of Waldo. Clay Electric said that he leaves behind a wife Christy and nine children.
Chief executive Ricky Davis, added: “We are deeply saddened by this loss of one of our own. My thoughts and prayers are with Ziggy’s family and his co-workers as we work together to process this tragedy.”
