UK rental company United Powered Access (UPA) has added further 19 LGMG scissor lifts from local distributor Access Platform Sales (APS).
The order consists of 13 units of the 53ft SR1623 Rough Terrain diesel scissor lifts, along with six electric scissor lifts - five 19ft AS0607Ws and a 39ft AS1212E. The SR1623 offers a maximum working height of 18 metres and a maximum platform capacity of 680kg. Features include four wheel drive, levelling jacks and dual roll out extensions - taking the platform length from 3.98 metres to 5.44 or 6.58 metres with a reduced capacity of 230kg.
UPA general manager Jason O’Brien, said: “We have a long-standing relationship with APS. The fact that they can fulfil our requirements in days when other suppliers are forecasting months, is testament to their supply and service, especially in the current climate. The LGMG SR-1623 Ds have been a great success within our fleet and the feedback is always positive. For cladding applications, they’re easy to operate, the slide-out deck is smooth, provides a generous work area and the platform is very stable.”
Mike Weatherill, APS sales manager for north west England, added: “With the UK moving out of the Covid-19 pandemic, we’ve been determined to be well placed to support access rental clients that want to gear up their operations and refresh their fleets. We believe LGMG scissor lifts represent the ideal option.”
