German crane and aerial lift rental company W. Schnitger has purchased two new 70 metre Bronto Skylift S70XR truck mounted platforms. The first unit has been delivered, with the second unit due next spring along with a 35 metre Bronto S35EM.
The S70XR has a maximum outreach of 38 metres with a capacity of 120kg, or 33 metres at a working height of 46 metres, while the maximum platform capacity of 700kg is available at up to 30 metres. It can also reach 10 metres below ground level.
The machine has been ordered with the optional 440 degrees of platform rotation - 220 degrees in each direction - and was also ordered with a 400kg platform based winch, Bronto 5+ control system and radio remote controls along with other options. The unit is mounted on a four axle Volvo FM 460 8×4 chassis with a gross vehicle weight of under 32 tonnes, an overall length of less than 12 metres and it can be driven without special road permits throughout Germany and other European countries.
Based in Northeim, in central Germany - halfway between Dortmund and Leipzig - it is a service partner for France Elévateur, Bronto, Tadano, Haulotte, and Scania and is the European distributor for R&B spider cranes. It also runs an extensive fleet of aerial work platforms, cranes and telehandlers.
