Cranes & Access now online

The latest digital issue of Cranes & Access is now online and available to read or download.

Published slightly later than planned - due partially to the forced shift of Vertikal Days from May to September - this issue is bursting with features, interesting applications and industry updates, including the results from our annual Top 30 Guide of the leading rental companies in the UK and Ireland. With the uncertainty and disruption of Covid-19 largely behind us, see how crane, access and telehandler rental fleets have changed over the past year in the face of growing new machine lead times and staff shortages.

We also take a look at the 60-80 tonne All Terrain market which has been very active in terms of development, with many three and four axle cranes forming the core of rental fleets. This year’s Mastclimber & Hoists feature sees Nick Johnson take a look at the still relatively untapped potential of mastclimbers as well as the growing use of crane operator lifts and developments in the hoist and transport platform market.

In our Used Equipment feature Will North spoke with used equipment companies Inteq, AJ Access and International Platforms, to see what advantages there are to sourcing smaller access platforms or telehandlers as part of a fleet replenishment programme. Following on from last month’s look at Building Information Modelling (BIM), we also highlight the use of BIM on the HS2 highspeed railway line.

All this - along with the latest round up of the industry’s news and views as well as updates from industry associations IPAF, CPA, ALLMI and PASMA.
