Bauma scoops & updates

Bauma is, as predicted, bigger and better than ever, with great weather and a fantastic array of products on display, the numbers of visitors is on course to smash all previous records.

On Monday the organisers have said that the first day numbers of 41,000 visitors has been well exceeded, since then the numbers have grown with the aisle outside of our Vertikal log cabin clogged to capacity at times.

With so many stands to visit and so many visitors to our stand we are finding it difficult to cope, in spite of the fact that we have seven full time staff at the event.

We have dozens of stories to report, but precious little time to write them up.

In order not to leave you in the dark for too long here are a few of them in brief. We will follow up with more detailed coverage as soon as we catch a quiet spell.

The company also confirmed that to date it has built over 236,000 rough terrain lifting machines. With over 136, 000 of them being telescopic handlers.

Manitou has also provided Verikal.Net with information that confirms its worldwide leadership of the telehandler market, in spite of JCB’s claims that it builds the most telescopic handlers.
