Customer support manager for Tadano UK
Tadano UK has appointed John Miller as customer support manager, taking over from Paul Duke who will be leaving the company 'to pursue other opportunities'.
Miller joins the company after 34 years with Grove and Manitowoc, where he was most recently director of sales and service for Manitowoc UK & Ireland. He will directly report to Alec Bell, the business leader for Tadano operations in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

John Miller
Miller began his career as a service engineer in 1981 when he joined contractor Edmund Nuttall, which ran its own equipment fleet, including a good number of crawler cranes. Then in 1987 he moved to Grove Coles as a service engineer, barely two years after Grove had acquired Coles Cranes and merged its UK operations. In 2000 he was promoted to service manager, a position that was confirmed a couple of years later when the business was acquired by Manitowoc.
Alec Bell said: “Tadano has defined customer focus as an essential part of our strategic orientation. Our goal is to become the industry benchmark in this area. “Service, parts and technical support is of central importance here. As we enter the next phase of our growth, the company has entrusted the leadership of customer support in the UK & Ireland to an experienced and highly respected crane industry professional. With his background, John knows the crane industry and the UK market intimately and has the expertise and experience to help expand our position in our region."
Miller takes over from Paul Duke who will be leaving the company “to pursue other opportunities”. Bell said: “I sincerely appreciate the effort and dedication that Paul has shown during his time with Tadano, and I wish him well for his future endeavours.”
