Morrow adds Alimak

Morrow Equipment has added a further 20 Alimak Scando 650s in a deal signed at Bauma.

Morrow Equipment, North America’s leading tower crane rental company, has ordered a further 20 Alimak hoists bringing its fleet of Alimak hoists to 200, all of which have been acquired since 2005.

The latest deal was signed on the Alimak –Hek stand at Bauma in Munich.

Morrow has taken Alimak Scando 650 FC 32/39 hoists with a lifting height of 54 metres (177 ft). Delivery is scheduled during October and November with the units being available from each of Morrow’s 11 locations in the USA.

The order includes Alimak Hek’s new remote control system - A3 - an online system for remotely collecting operational information and data, such as time and number of starts and stops, hours in operation, etc.

Depending on the control system used it can also serve as a fault diagnostics device, tracing faults for quick and easy action in order to keep down-time as low as possible.
Information is fed via the Internet, e-mail or via cell phone.
