Enerpac previews new product

Heavy lifting and jacking specialist Enerpac held its Experience Days last week which was attended by about 170 customers. The event - held at its facility in Hengelo, the Netherlands - included its full array of equipment with demonstrations of many of its products.

One new product that was shown ahead of its official launch in July was the EMV-Series E-mover battery powered self-propelled load skate which features a central load bearing plate and is designed to be used in conjunction with the company's standard MLS-Series wheeled skates. The E-mover features a hydraulic lift cylinder in place of the load bearing plate and has a 50 tonne capacity, split between the E-mover and wheeled load skate. The E- Mover is operated via a wireless remote controller. Enerpac says that battery life for the E-mover is expected to be between three to five hours depending on usage.

Another new model on display was the ML40 Mini-Lift Gantry, the first of which has been delivered to UK company D. Turner & Son (Machinery Removal) of Rochdale, Lancashire. Designed for installing or removing machinery in tight spaces, the self-contained mini gantry can lift up to 50 tonnes to its full 5.5 metres lift height, using a standard 16 amp 110v single phase power supply.

Other equipment on show included the JS250 and JS500 jack up systems, a rotor removal system and runway, SCJ50 and SCJ1000 self-locking cube jacks, the LH400 low height skid system, the ETT2000 turn table, ETR100 trolley system, EVO synchronous lifting system, HSL strand jacks, the ML40, SL200 and SL400N gantries as well a selection of machining tools.

“Experience Days were a great success. Great to receive so many of our customers again; we’ve progressively developed new lower capacity systems to support the needs of industrial & machinery movers, while simultaneously enhancing our jack-up and large capacity hydraulic gantries for heavy lift contractors,” says Jeremy Stubbs, commercial director, Enerpac Heavy Lifting Technology.
